Little Critter Collection: Contains Little Critter: Going to the Firehouse, Little Critter: Going to the Sea Park, and Little Critter: Snowball Soup is our first exposure to Little Critter and it's a delight. I had seen this guy around, but never really looked into it until now. AppleBlossom is at the stage where Level "My First" I Can Read! books are perfect and so I'm looking all around to see what I can find.

Little Critter: Going to the Firehouse is a great book for working with a community helpers theme. Children can experience their own firehouse field trip within these pages. Learning about what a fireman wears and why he does what he does is important and fun with Little Critter.

Little Critter: Going to the Sea Park is fun and full of learning opportunity. This would be a great addition to studying an ocean theme or planning a trip to an aquarium. The interaction between the students is great as Little Critter explains everything that is going on. Perfect amount sentences and an interesting topic to truly involve your early reader.

Even though right now the grass is green and the sky is blue, the cold days of winter are vivid in my mind. This one will be great next year while working with a snowman and winter theme. Fun and active Little Critter and Little Sister along with their dog and the snowman have an energetic time full of play. Reading aloud this was perfect for our storytime today and it has just the right amount of text and interest that AppleBlossom is already re-telling it to herself after one read.
