Prince Kian took my breath away. From the prologue, where he was on the yacht having a 3some with models to him meeting Savvy to the anguish of not knowing where his twin was, I loved it. At first, he totally came across as a rotten royal and a manwhore. But when Garrett was kidnapped, all of that stopped and he stepped up to be Crown Prince of Wildemar, a fictional country that is on the Mediterranean Sea. I loved seeing the progression of his character. Kian when from being a spoiled man-child to someone who could rule, if he had to. I also loved reading his pursuit of Savvy too. He was hell-bent on having her until he found something in Garrett’s possessions that almost made him change his mind. For the sake of the book, I was glad that he didn’t. His grief over Garrett’s disappearance was deep and in a way, I think he blamed himself for not being there.
Savvy was an enigma. She wanted Kian as much as he wanted her but she kept holding back. I couldn’t figure out why and honestly, thought that maybe she had a hand in Garrett’s disappearance. But when it was revealed what it was, I kinda breathed a sigh of relief. She was there for Kian during everything. I also got why she did what she did with Kian. I totally did and I would have done the same thing.
The attraction between Savvy and Kian was immediate from that moment where she spilled champagne on him. It just built up until it exploded in one very hot, very memorable sex scene that made me go “Wow“. It was that explosive and you know what, every sex scene after that had the same intensity. I was literally on “Whoa” mode every time they had sex because their sex was that good.
I liked that not every plotline was resolved in this book and I am really hoping that Garrett’s romance is book 2. Of course, there is an HEA. I was kind of worried that there wasn’t going to be one and I did a huge sigh of relief when feelings were discussed and everyone was happy.
