My first instinct is to say "wonderful book" but with the themes touched upon, that doesn't seem quite right. It is an engrossing book and it grabbed hold of my imagination immediately. The characters are real... both flawed and heroic at the same time.
The book was a little darker than I anticipated from the blurb.
