This book focuses on Melanie and her meeting a guy named Greyson. Greyson is a man who was separated from his mom at 13 by his dad who he really doesn't like, but his dad has raised him to be a killer and one who takes what he wants. His dad wants to give him the Underground because he is dying so he gives him the task of getting money from 48 people on a list of people who owe money to the Underground from betting. Melanie happens to be on this list. They meet outside of a bar where he helps her with her car in the middle of a rainstorm.

I really loved this book. I love how deep Greyson's character is and the inner battles he faces with how to handle Melanie and take care of her and protect her. I liked the changing perspectives between the two of them. I loved how their relationship developed into something deeper over time, even with him trying to hide who he was from her. Melanie is a bit crazy at times and she's also a bit insecure but I liked how she didn't want to take handouts from anyone.

And oh my gosh the scene with him meeting her family and playing charades and how much fun they had. I was cracking up and I loved it, it was such a cute scene. I definitely thought this was a great read and I'm glad it improved from the last book which I really didn't like at all.
