Wait for Dusk is the best of the series! The stakes are so much higher in just about every battle that Mira is involved in. Plus there's a new one that she gets sucked into while clearing out the naturi in Budapest. And she gets a surprise visit from someone from her past, and I was shocked! Well, I wasn't surprised at the general identity of this "person" but the specifics were the shock! Anyway, Mira goes through hell in this book!

Wait for Dusk picks up immediately after the ending of Pray for Dawn. The situation wasn't quite as dire as I assumed it would be, and this is when we meet Mira's visitor. It's not a friendly visit, but they have a task for her. If she doesn't comply....well, let's just say they have ways of making her suffer. Mira being the stubborn person that she is, doesn't want to give in, but certain situations may force her into it or see her dead.

The romance! Yes, that cover is kind of spoilery, since Wait for Dusk is when Mira and Danaus finally stop tiptoeing around their feelings! It totally doesn't happen in the way that I was expecting, especially since they have plenty of alone time. They take awhile to get there, and constantly hurt each other along the way, but it was soooo worth it!

I won't go into, but the plot was pretty fantastic, too. Not only is Mira still fighting the naturi while waiting for their queen to make her appearance, she's also in a power struggle with some members of the coven. There's a lot of supernatural politics at play, and everyone is out for their own best interests. If they don't get their crap together, the naturi are going to take them out!
