There was pretty much no spice but that's not a bad thing for me. There was plenty of romance just no spicy scenes.
I loved all of the characters. It's written in dual perspectives so you get the story from both Lucy and Cooper's point of views. Lucy is a single mom who is down on her luck and has moved back home with her brother after losing her job. Cooper is Lucy's brother Drew's old roommate and best friend. Cooper moved to Nashville after a pretty bad breakup and he has been living up being a player and Drew's wingman.
Drew introduces Cooper to Lucy and tells him that Lucy is off limits. She is not going to be one of Coopers flings. She has a son and needs something serious.
But Lucy and Cooper can't deny the attraction building between them. I was rooting for their relationship throughout the entire book.
It's definitely is a little insta-lovey but that was ok with me. I am able to handle insta love when it is done well and boy was this done well.
The ending really leads into the next book- The Temporary Roommate- which features Lucy's brother Drew and one of Lucy's friends. I can't wait to read it!
Both of the books are available on Kindle Unlimited! Definitely check them out if you like cute, hilarious romcoms!
