I really liked reading Rock Addiction, the first book in this series so I knew I was going to like this one as well. I just wasn’t prepared for how much.

David Rivera is the drummer for School Boy Choir and he’s known in the media as The Gentleman of Rock. He’s the band member who is always well dressed and never gives Thea, the band’s publicist, reason to stress. But then he asked her out and she rejected him and he goes out for a walk and ends up in jail.

Oh man, this was such a cute read. I loved David and I really liked Thea. I thought they were great together because those memos? Holy hot damn! I LOVED that David made Thea fall for him with his words. I loved that he took the time to woo her with words and with small gestures that really showed how much he liked her.

I also really liked that even though this was such a short story, it didn’t feel like it. Singh really shined in bringing David and Thea to life and telling their story in a way that wrapped you right up in the warmth of their feelings for each other. We see them come together, we see the anticipation of finally seeing each other and we even get some conflict to further their story along and really, I just loved it all. Singh gave us a lot in this short story and yet, it never once felt too crowded or rushed. Their story was just right and I definitely recommend it.
