A Notorious Countess Confesses by Julie Anne Long

A Notorious Countess Confesses (Pennyroyal Green, #7)

by Julie Anne Long

Long has created a fabulous series set against the feud of the wealthy Eversea and Redmond families of Pennyroyal Green, Sussex. There will be plenty of romance, scandal, and interconnecting characters to enthrall any fan of Regency-set novels!

Evie a girl that started in poverty, that went throw and tried her hardest to help her family have a better life. going to London to work in the theater. Then marrying an Earl who won the right to marry her in a card game.

Adam the Vicar to the small community of Pennyroyal Green. Doing his best to help and lead his community.

Evie at first has a hard to being excepted by the community seen as someone who will destroy all the morals they hold dear to them. Trying to do charitable works to get accepted by the woman of the town. Adam starts to help Evie with her getting involved and making friends.

The romance between Adam and Evie is very slow paced. But was very steamy and interesting when it picked up. The interactions between all the characters seemed a bit touch and go. The plot was interesting, and at the same seemed drawn out.

I give the "A Notorious Countess Confesses" three cocktails
