Last Week Tonight with John Oliver will be donating 100% of its proceeds from this book to The Trevor Project and AIDS United.

HBO's Emmy-winning Last Week Tonight presents the story of a Very Special boy bunny who falls in love with another boy bunny.

Meet Marlon Bundo, a lonely bunny who lives with his Grampa—the vice president of the United States. But on this Very Special Day, Marlon's life is about to change forever...

With a message of tolerance and advocacy, this charming children's book explores issues of same sex marriage and democracy. Beautifully performed by an all-star cast, featuring Jim Parsons, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Jeff Garlin, Ellie Kemper, John Lithgow, Jack McBrayer, and RuPaul, this sweet and funny story is dedicated to every bunny who has ever felt different.

About the author: Marlon Bundo is a very fun bunny who recently relocated to Washington, DC, from his home in Indiana. He enjoys hopping through the garden, eating all his vegetables, and hula-hooping.

Not only does A Day in the Life of Marlon Bundo have a really positive message about accepting difference, but it even has a great message about the importance of voting! This is something we should instil in our children from an early age. We have a say in who represents us, and there's no reason why children shouldn't know and understand that.

From a narrative perspective, the book was simple and joyful. It flowed really well, had a great message and the characters were unique caricatures of the animals that they represented. I'm still waiting for my actual copy to arrive, so I listened to the audio version, and Jim Parsons did a fantastic job of narrating it.

I wrote a little blog post about the book which takes you through to purchase and donation pages for The Trevor Project and AIDS United which you can read here: http://iblamewizards.com/a-day-in-the-life-of-marlon-bundo/. Not only does A Day in the Life of Marlon Bundo have a great message, but the proceeds also go to two great causes.

While the release of A Day in the Life of Marlon Bundo itself is a political statement, it genuinely is a lovely children's book.
