I was so pleased that Judy Serrano contacted me asking if I would like to review her ARC of First Blood which is book 2 of the Linked series.

If you have not read book #1 of this series I suggest to read that first so you have a bit of background on everyone. First Blood is written from Diamond’s point of view she is Daphne and Heathcliff’s daughter but time has passed by and Diamond is now a woman, her mother has disappeared and as far as they know she has died as Heathcliff is now 26 again. She needs to have her first blood and Daphne had already chosen who that will be, Dante.

Now Dante is a lover to say the least and him and Daphne have history so Heathcliff wasn’t too thrilled but allowed it to happen, but when Diamond and Dante link and then have to be unlinked things start getting dangerous as there are beings that want Dante dead, they will stop at nothing to get this done and discoveries over Diamonds lineage lead to danger for her too.

Characters who you think are gone for good appear, new characters come into the story, Diamond is kidnapped, Daphne is not Daphne any more. There is a name mentioned in the book that you will smile to yourself about if you have read some of Judy’s other books.

This book is full of mystery, suspense, danger and romance and there is no guessing what is going to happen as there is always twist that surprises you.

It has been left on a huge cliffhanger and I cannot wait for book 3 to see what happens.

Another well written and fantastic book, I love all of Judy Serrano’s books.
