I really enjoyed this book. The characters are lively and interesting. The banter between the Lacey's was first rate. The pacing was fantastic, moving through a lot of narrative changes without feeling rushed and I liked that things happened; revelations came in a timely manner and perceptions changed and circumstances and settings changed. It didn't feel like the story was locked in one scenario or completely drawn out.

The characters really are strong, even minor characters are well developed. I loved that one of the characters completely subverted my expectations and that people knowingly have conflicting aims but are still friends. Only one or two are really bad guys. Everyone else is just doing the best they can, wherever that leads them.

I can't wait to read more from [a:Eve Edwards|3392912|Eve Edwards|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1309255339p2/3392912.jpg].
