I just realized that this book was written in 2010! You mean I went through a whole year deprived? But I've read it now and I just loved it! It's heart-breaking and heart-warming all at the same time. Loved Zach...loved his integrity in the face of such abuse and I loved his love and concern towards his sister. (I wanted to smack his parents SO hard!) Loved Ben for being so decent and upstanding and generous and open! This has to be one of my all-time favourite Christmas stories!
