I recieved a free copy in exchange for an honest review.

This book tells the author story of being married to a sociopath. She gives enough detail to express every emotion she experienced while married. I'm glad she has shared her story for others to read. Not only to bring awareness, but to possibly give others in a similar situation the courage to leave. What the author went through, the red flags that were overlooked, and the fact that she would be "at fault", really hit close to home for me.
Growing up, I saw my mother endure the wrath of my father. My sisters and I have wondered just what could be "wrong" (for lack of a better word) with the man we called dad. Narcissistic? Bipolar? And after reading this story, I'm now wondering if he could possibly be sociopathic.
Regardless of my own story, Renee Olivier is a strong, brave woman. She should be proud of herself. :)
