I’ll admit that I was hoping for a bit more with this issue. I’m not sure why though – I’ve read other Marvel Preludes and thus should have known what to expect. Captain Marvel Prelude #1 is basically a summary of the previous Avengers movies. There are little moments thrown in, like scenes with Fury and Hill explaining why they didn’t call Carol in for backup during some of the more intense points in the movies. But that’s about it. There’s going to be at least one more part to this series, so maybe we’ll see some new material then?
