I Am Princess X was freaking fantastic. From the blurb, it seemed like it was just going to be a quick, fun, maybe slightly sad, read about a girl grieving her friend and comics. Well, the quick and fun part was right! The story is much dark and more serious than I was expecting. I mean, there's a gruesome death in the first chapter, and then the whole plot is...well, that's actually a spoiler. So...yeah. Spoilers.

I was very, very, very surprised by I Am Princess X. It hooked me from the first chapter, and I could not put it down! Well, I had to put it down because I needed a shower, but it was a quick shower, because I had to get back to May and Trick! May sees stickers and graffiti of a comic book character she and her friend Libby created when they were kids, but Libby died when they were 14. So what does the reemergence of their kick ass princess mean? May hopes that it means Libby is still alive, once she finds the website that includes stories she didn't help write. Is she, or is it just wishful thinking?

For serious though, I Am Princess X was super great. Yeah, it's totally improbable, but I don't care! It was awesome! People are sick and disturbed and what even?! This book is smart and dark and funny and exciting and nearly gave me heart palpitations, because ahhh! I can't say more! Everything is a spoiler! This is a mystery! I can't even tell you what the mystery is! Just read it!
