What is happening to Ophelia?

Newblood and the Ice Princess by Kimber Li is an exciting story about one of the identical twins with diabetes finding out her whole world has changed before she turns seventeen. We follow Ophelia through this new development in her life. At least she did get what she wants, but probably not in the way she wanted it.

What I liked

  • Ophelia is a Star Trek and Star Wars fan. I love seeing this as it is uncommon for heroines.

  • Bianca, the other twin, is a force to be reckoned with and she makes all of their clothes. How cool is that?

  • Ophelia finding out about her powers and what they are.

  • Her love for animals.

  • Ophelia finding out who her secret admirer is.

What I disliked

I didn't like how Ophelia wasn’t listening to what was going on around her. Another thing that I didn’t like was that her family didn’t move them fast enough away from their home. The last thing that I didn’t like was what happened to Adrian and Brandon. I don't want to ruin too much for you, but there were some things that I was having trouble with, but they were fixed once I changed the size of my device, and I have a problem with how the author finished it up for some of the characters.

Four Stars

I am giving Newblood and the Ice Princess by Kimber Li a four-star review and recommending it to all young adult paranormal romance lovers out there that like a different take on the tale of vampires. It also involves elves, shapeshifters, and of course humans. Get your copy today to see if you like this new version of vampires and paranormal love story.
