A very interesting introduction to the Soulscreamer series! I felt SO sorry for Kaylee when she was in that hospital, and really mad at Val for letting her be taken there! Brendon too, if they had only told her the truth, she would have been able to deal with all of it; and she would never had been sent to that hospital to start with.
