I thought this was a great reimagining of the original. Personally, I've always felt that Wonderland is darker than we have thought it to be, and the story is a good communication of how imagination can be an evil thing. All of the characters are delightfully described and written, and have believable roles. The story line is compelling and adequately filled. I will definitely read the sequel and recommend this to some lf my more advanced readers.
