I'd been in an MC romance drought, so I was happy when CLUTCH showed up on my Kindle. I was ready to delve into a new club.

In CLUTCH, we're introduced to the Disciples MC, focusing on Camille (Cami) the President's daughter and club member, Gauge. Cami is not at all what I was expecting, since she was basically a Stepford wife who could only get through the day with drugs and alcohol. Gauge was a member who wanted nothing more than living the club life. But once these two set eyes on each other, they suddenly wanted they way they'd been living to change.

Cami was never willing to give up her hellish life with her fiance, because she figured she's wanted out of the MC life and this is what she gets. Even with her father, she's put on an act to make him think she was happy with her life. It wasn't until her father brought Gauge with him on his visit that she knew she had to get away from her life. It wasn't a quick move, but through conversations with Gauge, she found the courage to leave and the protection of her father's club and Gauge.

I thought it was interesting that Gauge was so willing to give up the club whores and such from practically the moment he met Cami. I figured it would take a bit to get this very alpha male to realize who he truly wanted, but I was pleasantly surprised that he'd give up everything at practically the snap of a finger. That doesn't mean that he was a push over, believe me he could display some a-holish behavior, but I really enjoyed the fact that he didn't need to sleep with a bunch of women or act like a douchebag to Cami while he figured out how he felt.

I enjoyed this start to the Disciples Daughter's MC series. I look forward to see what comes next.
