I did not expect a lot from this book, to be honest. I really enjoy Victoria Schwab's writing style, but somehow I was never hooked on her stories. Although I have only read A Darker Shade of Magic and The Near Witch so far.
This book would normally not be my cup of tea. I enjoyed it, but it is very obvious what is going to happen, and the characters do not have that many characteristics. Yet I loved it so much. The atmosphere that this book gives is amazing. I have never felt such an atmosphere in any book, it was honestly the best thing. I wish I loved the story itself more since I would never reread this book for the story. I will always remember exactly what happened since it just feels like a children's tale. But that atmosphere will convince me to read it again and again.
I feel very confused about this book. It was okay, and I loved it. I will definitely reread it, one day.

Can we talk about the new cover? It is so beautiful. In the beginning, I did not like it that much, but after a while, it grew on me. It fits perfectly with the story and its mystery.
