This was a great short about our favorite reaper, Tod! I loved getting to be inside Tod's head even if it was only for 60ish pages. We get a lot of information about the reaper business which I found really interesting. It really adds to the experience of the Soul Screamers world. Reaper also fills in a lot of gaps in Nash and Tod's relationship. We see them interacting while Tod is still alive and how Nash reacts to his death. They were obviously close, but still had their fights. It's a very interesting contrast to way they act towards each other in the main books.

While there was some of Tod's great sense of humor in the beginning, there was also a great emotional scene involving Nash and Harmony. I felt so sad for them, and for Tod for witnessing it. However, the ending of this novella is awesome! If you're a fan of the series and haven't read this yet, I encourage you to check it out!
