So, I read this in one sitting. I wasn't expecting this book to be so short! I actually think it's something that works with it, not against it. If you're going to give me a longer thriller, it better be worth it. When the twist happened, I actually got a little bit confused, because I was like... Was that a reveal? It was. So I guess I gotta mention that the execution was a little subpar - this book was clearly designed to be devoured, but I feel like sometimes you have to spend more time with certain moments for them to pull any weight.

Along with that, I have to mention that the romance plotlines were incredibly telling on the twist. I immediately knew what they pointed towards, all I needed to know was why. Some questionable tropes are included in this, but it was actually made in a pretty funny manner, in my opinion. Like, those passages came and I honestly highlighted them and added the note werk on my Kindle highlights.

If you want a very honest review: this book works because more than having a mostly nicely put together conclusion, it goes for satisfaction rather than shock. I wasn't shocked with the twist, but I was SCREAMING "YES!" when the final part of the book came. Incredibly satisfying, made me root for the characters in such a simple manner. Sometimes you don't need to shock your reader, you just need to entertain them.

Considering how fast a read this is, I call it worth it. I don't know if it's going to be memorable, but it was definitely a fine book to read in one-sitting. I will be checking out other thrillers by the author.
