Man, it has been so long since I've read this series, so I had to do a quick read through of all the books. And man, I forgot how much of an emotional roller coaster it has been for Damien and Raelyn.

The great things about how the books end, the story picks up in the next one, so you'll be familiar with the barriers that they'll have to continue to get through. And the biggest one is Damien's past. Oh and maybe the wounds Drake and Annabelle constantly try to inflict on Damien.

In this one, we witness the relationship between the two grow so much. Raelyn has gone through a tough life battling cancer as we saw all that she had to endure in the second book. As her own, we watched her try to get back to her normal self especially in her work mode. But it was a little too much to the point where'd she be exhausted by noon. I love how determined she was to be back to normal and I just wanted to hug her and be like, it's OK! You don't have to push yourself. Without Damien and her solid support of friends, she finally accepted that she needed to take a step back.

Damien ... the poor man! I felt so much for him in this one, in the first two books, I was so eager to know what it was that was so bad in his past. But seeing him constantly fight against it in this one, I settled with the thought that I'd be okay without knowing because I knew it had to be something terrible.

I thought with Raelyn constantly badgering him for the truth, I felt like it was hard for her to see how painful his past was. I understand needing to knowing the truth and airing things out before getting married, but lady, there's a reason for everything. I think it would have been better if she made him promise to tell her on his own terms at some point during their relationship.

I even got a little disappointed in Raelyn towards the end before everything was revealed, she of all people know's Damien. And when she started having doubts about him, I wanted to shake her!

With all that being said, well done on a beautiful series!

I love Rae's work in this series and her other series as well, she's able to write beautifully and have her stories transition seamlessly into each other. The Tattooed Series is definitely one of my favorites. Everything was tied up perfectly by the end and you're all in for a treat in the epilogue!
