Brynne Asher writes good stories…

I find myself lost for words when it comes to writing a review for Veils. I think it’s because it can be easily summed up by saying that it’s good. Brynne Asher has a talent for writing romance that satisfies all my needs. A strong and determined heroine who knows what she wants to be matched with a hero that’s fierce, intelligent and extremely sexy. The storyline captured my attention from the start and held it to the very end. The additional characters are ones I have grown to love in previous instalments, and I enjoy seeing where they are at now. The sexy times are HOT!! Basically, Veils is good.

There’s a little part of me that feels guilty when I get so much enjoyment out of the heroine being put in a dangerous situation. I know it’s bad that she’s in trouble and maybe risking her life. It’s just that I love it when the hero rushes in to save her. I know there are plenty of women out there who can save themselves and don’t need a man to rush in guns blazing, but it seriously DOES IT FOR ME! Yes, it’s the *he’s so hot when he’s in charge* that makes me sigh in delight, and I’m a sucker for *he picked her up and cradled her in his arms*. So, it’s not that I want the heroine to be vulnerable, I just want the hero to save the day and then be all soft and gooey looking after the heroine. Noah does ^^^THIS^^^ very well.

I really enjoyed getting to know Noah better and thought that Gracie was the perfect match for him. Their story was proof that sometimes you just have to find the right person to make you believe in love. Both Noah and Gracie are not looking for love when they met and it takes Gracie a lot longer than Noah to believe what feelings they have are worth fighting for. I loved Noah’s determination and thought that Gracie was just being stubborn holding him off for as long as she did. For goodness sakes, he’s HOT, BOSSY AND EXTREMELY SEXY. What more could a girl ask for?

Veils is an action-packed adventure and I really enjoyed Gracie and Noah’s journey to happiness. From a person who is a shocking secret keeper and very *what you see is what you get*, I tend to get a little frustrated when the characters hold back important information. Getting information out of Gracie is like pulling teeth. Noah’s patience with Gracie was a wee bit unbelievable. I’m not sure how I would have handled the person I was coming to love, keeping secrets or not being open with me. But, then again, their relationship was pretty short and intense.

If you’re a Brynne Asher fan, you are going to love Veils. It’s everything we’ve come to love and expect from The Killers. My favourite Killers and their partners were back, and I loved revisiting the vineyard and seeing Addy’s cows again. This story was good.
