The main character is one you will really feel for and connect with. She's caring and has a lot of expectations put on her because she is the "golden child" in her parent's eyes. with expectations from her parents about what she should do for a job and who she should marry are things she's deciding to rebel against. Which is when she meets her future husband who is everything her parents don't want her to marry even though he is extremely caring and almost seems like the perfect guy. I really enjoyed this part of the story as seeing
Catholicism in Britain during WWII isn't something we get very often, which is part of the reason I enjoyed it so much.
I'm really glad I read this one and I really want to see what the author will write next!
