Collide is J. C. Hannigan’s first book and wow what a book it is. I was hooked from page one. It touched upon tough subjects in such a real way, I really connected to Harlow. She had gone through hell for years and I think in a way it made her stronger, but she had built up a lot of walls and rebelled against things. Losing her best friend made it even more difficult for her as she had no one to talk to and she missed her a lot, grieving still a year later.

She started a new school, went to her English class and she could feel a connection between her teacher, Mr Bentley but was she just imagining it? There was something definitely there so she gave him the eye kind of thing. But when she is invited to a party and things go wrong, she makes an enemy and he is after her.

After work one night he follows her home and he follows her so she runs to the first house she comes across, never in a million years did she dream that it would be Mr Bentley’s home. He takes her in and things progress between them. A forbidden pleasure that may ruin them both.

Harlow also makes an unlikely friend in Jenna, and helps her through her problems, is there for her and wants her to prosecute Andrew Cooper.
