Time of Enchantment is part time travel romance, part reverse harem, and part paranormal romance! You have 2 time travelers (who didn't know they could time travel!), a werewolf, a genetics professor and a witch. Sounds like the start of a joke, right?! Ana, our heroine, is a romantic at heart and is searching for love and family. She wants what her sister Kati found. However, she only seems to attract cheaters or commitaphobes!

The story is set slightly in the future when men far out number women so reverse harems are very common. Having magic in some form is also common and very diverse. Ana is a witch, her sister Kati has mind control, and their mom can manipulate fire. The world that Clarke has created is unique without being so strange you can't relate. Ana is a very likable character because she is, in many ways, a typical woman. She wants real love, to start a family, etc. She feels like she won't ever have that. Its such a common feeling among women in their mid twenties it helped to humanize her character.

Her harem men are delicious! First, you have her werewolf brother in laws brother. These two have explosive chemistry but commitment isn't part of the plan. Then there is the very attractive genetics genius she works for as a TA. Bennett is very off limits, and could be involved in some shady ethical experiments. Finally, the two time traveling cowboys are just passing through, right? All the guys are interesting in different ways and I found each of them entertaining! A struggle I sometimes have with RH books is that you don't see the relationships develop because there are multiple relationships. However, Clarke does such a great job with allowing you to see Ana build personal relationships with all the guys!

Overall, Time of Enchantment was enchanting from the start. The characters are charming, the plot is enjoyable, and the writing is splendid. If you are a fan of paranormal RH but tired of the trite shifters/vampires/gods trope, try this book (and the prequel novella, Charms of Attraction)!
