Just finished the audio for Burn for You and I enjoyed it.
Holy shamoly that slow burn was definitely worth waiting for. I admit to being very hot under the collar as I was listening to this one. Luckily I didn't have to struggle with squirming in public and avoiding eye-contact with my fellow passengers on the train (for a change). I was a little uncomfortable though. Straight after the remarkably hot sexy scene, an extremely sad thing happens in the book.
Ummm...not sure about you, but it's a tad uncomfortable when you're still squirming and you've got to switch to devastating news. I felt guilty because I was SOOOOO not in the mood for a sad scene. I kind of needed a little bit more...lying back with a smoke and scotch on the rocks (not literally, thinking James Bond) to relax after the high. Having to switch gears so quickly left me a little discombobulated. I recovered and went on, but admit to having to pause for a minute.
The story was interesting, narrators were good and I was left extremely satisfied in the end. Not sure (as I'm from Australia) but the accent and terms used seemed a little bit OTT. At first, I was highly amused but as the story went on, it became a little distracting. It may have seemed more so because I was listening instead of reading, though.
I will definitely be interested in reading more from this author.
