As of the last issue I wasn’t sure how I felt about the new ‘antagonist’ (I feel bad doing anything other than putting that in quotes, so that’s my bias for the character showing) but this issue really helped sell me on the matter. I wasn’t expecting them to do their own spin on the whole Thanos problem (you know, where he wants to wipe out half the universe)…but it works.
If you’re going to read any of the spinoffs such as ‘Soldier Supreme’ you really have to read this issue first. This will explain the how and the why of what is happening. Though it raised a lot of questions in my head, such as who else got mashed together? I really would love to see a more comprehensive list of the combinations that happened because of this.
