I was enthralled by Destiny Gift. It's a unique story of higher powers woven into a post apocalyptic world where only the strong survive. Between the dystopian theme and the emergence of the mythologies, I found myself slightly muddled, but within the next chapter, it all clicked into place.
I was surprised by a few plot twists, as I know very little about mythology, but found it intriguing.
There were no lengthy, drawn out explanations, which I more than appreciated. As soon as there is usually these long winded dialogues, a book has lost me. So thankfully it was kept simple.
I really enjoyed it and thankfully it lacked the dreaded cliffhanger ending, but leaves the reader with too many questions, so you simply can't resist reading the next in the series.
