The Coming Night Is Full Of Stars is a miscellany of poetry and prose, with accompanying photographs, mostly inspired by people and places of the Great War. The author's focus is always on the individuals, their humanity and suffering, their hopes and fears, their fortitude and courage and the need, a hundred years on, to remember.
An important aspect of all the experiences, however terrible, is the under-lying humour, most apparent in the tales of an ordinary French campsite at the heart of the battlefields of the Somme.
