Emma Martinez is back in Pasco after spending the summer at The Guesthouse in Chelan, and she is determined to make her junior year the best year ever. She attends Chelan High’s Homecoming Dance and has a great weekend with her friends from summer.
Emma’s fun comes to a screeching halt when her little sister Riley doesn’t make it home from school one day. Fortunately, God protects Riley and she is reunited with her family.
Through the search for Riley, Emma grows closer to Pete, a boy from school. Emma and Pete successfully team up and coordinate a career fair for the community. Afterwards, they will decide whether sparks will fly for their relationship.

While there they become friends, work summer jobs, and learn about faith while staying at The Guesthouse. The next four books in the series each follows one of the four girls as she navigates the ups and downs of the fall semester of her junior year.
