The key to the puzzle is a former courtesan-turned Triad agent, Fixer Zhang, who inexplicably knows that Lilian was the last heir of the previous dynasty. Jie and her friends must find a way to coax out Fixer Zhang's repressed memories if they are to save the realm, before a rebel lord comes to kill them.
