This is a collection of ideas and activities to support teachers in meeting the requirements of the science curriculum. The book uses a cross-curricular approach and primary topics. The chosen topics (ourselves, living things, water, air, planet earth, machines, structures and space) cover most aspects of the Science Programmes of Study for Key Stages 1 and 2, and the individual activities highlight these as well as incorporating AT1 (Scientific Investigation) into their structure. Scottish guideline references are also included. An assessment section provides the teacher with ideas on how to assess the activities presented in the book.
