WINHELP.EXE or the Windows Help Engine is a subprogram within Windows which controls the display and behaviour of the "help" facility. Although invisible to users, it is available to those program developers who design and build Windows applications. Providing information on how to design effective, smooth-running help facilities, this text shows Windows developers how to use the Windows Help Engine. Beginning with Windows help basics, covering Context Sensitive help (screens that respond to particular situations) and showing how help facilities should abide by certain Windows standards, this book suggests ways in which help screens can be made more responsive.
