This pack provides a collection of 16 colour pictures of works of art selected to give teachers confidence to address AT2 - knowledge and understanding of art as well as to develop the skills needed for AT1 - investigating and making, based on the elements of art - line, colour, pattern and texture. The pictures include works by a range of artists using a variety of media and cover broad spans of time and culture. Each picture has photocopiable material on the reverse with notes about the artist and picture and activity ideas. The teachers' book has practical advice for using the pictures to develop children's knowledge and understanding of art and to develop their own making and investigation of art. Suggestions are given for relating this work to topics where appropriate.
