All businesses need a framework within which to operate, but careful consideration must be given before forming a limited company. A lot of businesses are run through companies but there are many legal implications attached to this. New businesses and old sometimes fail, but the existence of a company will not necessarily help in those circumstances, limited liability for example is not a panacea for all ills. The aim of this book is to help the reader decide whether a company is right for them, and if so how to go about forming one. It covers the filing of statutory information, the opening of bank accounts, taxation, wages and salaries, marketing, auditing and accountancy and the use of computers.
