This selection of Hopkins's poetry presents around 40 of his best-known poems to students studying English at Advanced Level or as part of a college course. This selection includes many of his nature sonnets, "The Wreck of the Deutschland", and the 'Sonnets of Desolation', allowing students to consider Hopkins's central view of nature's relationship with religion and his skill in creating sound poetry.
