Book 1
The Empire made him a slave. They should have killed him when they had the chance.
Saul - a former prince - and his allies plot to steal the crown of Ubrain from the Emperor's vault. In the crown he sees the means to unify his enslaved people and bring them to freedom. But their road is not a straight one, and they soon find themselves caught in the middle of an unseen war as older powers work to twist the world to their own design. Saul has never been one to set easy tasks for himself, but he is determined to break the Empire's grip on his people, no matter how much blood must be spilled along the way.
It was a mistake to let him live. One they'll pay for with blood.
Book 2
Saul escaped the capital with the blood of the Emperor and Princes on his hands, but the recently crowned Empress seeks revenge. She will not rest until her father's murder is avenged, and sends her Inquisitors, the Dark Legion, to bring him to justice. While hunted by the Inquisition, monsters of the deep, and pirates, Saul sets off to free his brother from the arena in Qash.
His brother is the rightful King of Ubrain, and in his search for him, Saul finds he has more family than he expected, and far more enemies than he could have realized.
