This collection of essays on phenomenological themes reviews aspects of the philosophical movement which began with the publication in 1900-01 of Edmund Husserl's "Logical Investigations" - this philosophical movement is now reaching 100 years of existence. The 13 contributions represent a range of approaches and interests within the phenomenological framework. Some present approaches to Husserl, whilst others explore aspects of the fundamental texts of phenomenolgy and provide critical discussions of later thinkers such as Heidegger, Sartre and Derrida. The final section relates phenomenology to other disciplines and to broader issues in social thought and cultural studies.
