This revised guide contains a new walk around the Wynford Vaughan Thomas Memorial at Aberhosan, and leads walkers to a point where 13 of the peaks of Snowdonia are visible. The 40 walks described take in the full range of terrain. Where possible the walks are circular and start from a car park. They vary from short strolls to long hikes and are graded according to distance and difficulty, making it easy to select an appropriate route. The walks are illustrated with large-scale, easy-to-follow maps, and supported by step-by-step route instructions. The guide has been designed with the practical needs of the walker in mind. They are easy to carry and small enough to fit into a jacket pocket. The spiral binding keeps the book open at the chosen page. The layout of the routes makes it unnecessary to turn pages while walking. A brief history of the region is given in the introduction, with additional notes on geology, wildlife and the country code. The walks are graded easy to strenuous.
