Book 1
"Fans of LitRPG and video games need to be reading Christopher Keene." —Paul Mannering, President of SpecFicNZ, author of Engines of Empathy
After a terrible car accident paralyzes seventeen-year-old Noah Newbolt, he is hooked up to the innovative Dream Engine—a virtual reality helmet that immerses the player in an online fantasy game. The Dream Engine keeps Noah’s mind alive while doctors frantically work to heal his body, but dying in the game could send Noah into a coma, forever.
Meanwhile, Noah’s girlfriend, Sue, is suffering injuries from the same car crash, and the doctors grow confused when she seemingly fails to connect to the game. Then Noah encounters a mysterious avatar who suggests the last remnants of Sue’s consciousness are being held prisoner in the most dangerous part of the game.
Noah takes it upon himself to rescue Sue, allying himself with a group of high-level players. But as he rises through the ranks, his high status earns him the ire of top players across the world. Can Noah stay alive—and awake—long enough to save Sue and escape the game?
Book 2
Noah has survived his time trapped in the virtual reality of the Dream State game, and his body is on the road to recovery. His mind, however, cannot put the past behind him, knowing the company that ruined his life has escaped justice. With the evidence he needs to convict them held on a Transfer Orb hidden in the Dream State, Noah returns to help his friends reclaim it. However, someone has already beaten him to the punch.
FranktheTank is a newbie. When he happens across the Transfer Orb, he sees it as a big payday, something to boost his skills to the next level. As he tries to sell it off to the highest bidder, he begins to realize that something more than his avatar’s status is at stake.
In order to push the evidence to the public, Noah and his allies race to find Frank before Wona does. Empowered by new weapons and magic, Noah and his friends fight through dungeons, monsters, and dragon nests, though only Noah knows what lengths Wona will resort to in order to keep its good name clean and its dark past a secret.
Can Noah fight the pull of the game to protect Wona’s victims?
Book 3
"The only thing I didn't love about this series was that I didn't write it!" —G. R. Cooper, author of the Omegaverse Series
Noah has made a deal with the devil. In return for access to Wona’s inner circle, he must guard their Dream State game. It could be worse. After all, the Dream Engine saved his life, even if it ended so many others’. But his new alliance didn’t come without a cost. It turned many of his friends against him. Luckily, the company has assigned him a new team: Catastrophe.
But leading Catastrophe takes a dangerous turn. At the grand opening of a new game zone, a vicious attack puts even the Wona President on edge. As Noah digs deeper, he discovers hacking beyond anything he’s ever imagined.
In order to protect his virtual refuge, Noah must repair his broken friendships and work with Wona’s own lackeys. If Noah can't stop the hacker, more than the Dream State is at risk. Dark secrets lurk behind this mystery—secrets that go back to the creation of the Dream Engine itself.
