This volume is a reflection on some of the changes that have taken place in primary education over the last 20 years or so and that are likely to take place during the next few years. For the most part, the changes considered are those touching on the curriculum and methodology. Some important developments, like the changing relations between schools and parents, the changing roles of governing bodies and the local management of schools are considered only in passing.
