The core of its rich collections includes works ranging from the thirteenth to the eighteenth century and, in particular, one of the high points in the history of art: the Renaissance. Among the major artists represented in the Uffizi are Giotto, Piero della Francesca, Uccello, Botticelli, Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Raphael, Pontormo, Titian, and Caravaggio.
