The premier unit stationed at Alvin Callender Field or, more officially, Naval Air Station New Orleans, is the 122nd Tactical Fighter Squadron equipped with the F-15 Eagle and tasked with maintaining the integrity of US airspace over the Gulf of Mexico. Sharing ramp space with the Eagles are combat proven 706th Tactical Fighter Sqadron with their awesome A-10 Warthogs. Both these types of aircraft are featured in this book.
