Walking in Buckinghamshire

by Robert Wilson

Published 1 August 2001
Right on the doorstep of London and south-east England, Buckinghamshire has a wide range of countryside and walking. Buckinghamshire has much in store for the walker, not only in diverse landscapes, but also its long history, large mansions and ancient churches, which give the county its range of interests and pleasures. With well-marked paths and bridleways, and active local groups successfully sustaining the pressured environment, there is much to see and do. The book contains 32 walks throughout the county, clearly illustrated with photographs and maps. All the walks are generally easy and suitable for families. Local points of interest are given as well as details on refreshments and access.
