This text aims to give the beginning computer user all the information needed to understand the technology. It is divided into three sections: hardware concepts, which should help readers understand common computer technology and how a computer works; graphical user interfaces with Windows 98, exploring the fundamentals of operating systems and graphical user interfaces; and the Internet and World Wide Web, an overview of the Internet, showing readers how to use Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Explorer to find and retrieve information from the Internet, as well as how to send and receive electronic mail.
