Vagabond

In April 1990 Jeremy James, the traveller of "Saddletramp" set off for Eastern Europe. In Bulgaria his travelling companions were a friend and two horses, Karo and Little Pink. When Little Pink proved too young and inexperienced for an encounter with the Balkans he had to be left behind while Jeremy and Karo carried on alone. In Romania they were joined by a mare, Pusa and together they travelled through Hungary, Czechoslovakia, Poland and East Germany. This is the story of people of many nationalities and of friendship, of haphazard adventure in foreign lands and of a promise made in the woods. It is a view of the collapse of communism but, most of all, it is the story of one man's relationship with his horses.
