Part of the "Formative Assessment in the National Curriculum" series of books which are designed to support and underpin statutory teacher assessment in infants and lower junior schools and to help teachers to apply National Curriculum assessment criteria to their own pupils' work. This book provides a structured framework within which to make, interpret and act on assessment information. The reading assessment in this book is based on the story "Tasha and the Wolf". All three authors of this book are former members of the CATS team developing Standard Assessment Tasks for National Curriculum assessment at age 7.

It includes 30 examples of children's work to help teachers distinguish the National Curriculum requirements for Attainment Targets 3, 4 and 5 for composition, handwriting and spelling for children aged between five and eight years. The author of this book is a former member of the CATS team developing Standard Assessment Tasks for National Curriculum assessment at age 7. This is a pack of 20 record sheets.
