This is an updated text on birdwatching in Wales where the wide range of habitats - coast, islands, reservoirs, lakes, woodlands, marshes and uplands - offer the chance to see a good diversity of species. Coverage of 55 major sites is given with detailed maps for access. The author was the first warden of Skomer Island between 1960 and 1966 and is currently Honorary Warden for the RSPB of Grassholm Island. He was the organiser of Operation Seafarer the first national seabird census (1968-1971).
